How does Monega involve other bodies, including health and social care bodies, local authority support services and voluntary sector organisations, in meeting children’s special educational needs and supporting their families?
We focus on the holistic development of the child.
We work with agencies that will support the identified needs of a child and also liaise with families to ensure any support is consistently put in place regardless of the setting.
Our SENCO attends meetings with the Complex Needs and Dyslexia Service. Following consent, pupils' names are referred to the service so that appropriate support and additional interventions can be put in place.
The SENCO liaises with the Language, Communication and Interaction Service (LCIS) where pupils with autism and social communication difficulties are discussed with additional strategies for support put forward.
