Computing

At Monega Primary School we understand the importance of Computing and the use of information and communication technology in an increasingly digital world and workplace.

Information technology plays an important role in the delivery of the National Curriculum across all subjects. Children at our school have the opportunity to use a range of technology to learn about Computing and support their learning in other subjects. Every classroom has an interactive whiteboard and Wi-Fi access is available throughout the school for teaching and learning. Trolleys of tablets, netbooks and laptops are timetabled to be used throughout the school and maintained by our on-site IT technician.

All computers are networked and linked to the Internet. The school has an 'Acceptable use of the Internet' policy, which parents are asked to agree to, before their child uses the Internet. We are also supported by the borough team for our curriculum and firewall, ensuring that children are protected from inappropriate content.
